The Descriptive Summary and the Final Plan contain similar information. Can I skip the Descriptive Summary, and just submit the Final Plan?
No, you need to submit both the Descriptive Summary and the Final Plan
Do I need to do a formal presentation if I meet with the judges?
No, but this is an opportunity for you to convince the judges about the merits of your plan, so you should be prepared to give a verbal summary of your plan and to answer more detailed questions.
How will the services prizes be awarded?
As part of the Final Plan submission contestants will specify the service needed in order to begin implementing their plan to use the Internet. The judging panel will evaluate all submissions and decide what services, if any, that will be awarded to a business taking into consideration the type of services requested, the applicability of the requested services, the total amount requested, and the eligibility of a service to be funded. Most services will be funded through a USDA Rural Development grant for which strict guidelines exist.
